Challenge Detail

Revamp of Department of Agriculture Web Portal — Citizen-Centric Digital Front-End

The departmental website is the primary digital touch-point for farmers and citizens, but runs on a legacy content-management stack lacking responsive design, service integration and analytics instrumentation.

Existing Issues & Gaps

  • Non-responsive, legacy UI with poor mobile usability.
  • Deep, non-intuitive navigation delaying access to scheme information.
  • No integration with citizen-facing services (SSO, application/status tracking).
  • Absence of usage analytics or a structured feedback mechanism.

Expected Outcomes & Desired Solution

A modern, mobile-first, multilingual (Hindi/English) CMS with a rules-based AI chatbot for query resolution, an API-driven scheme-eligibility checker, a secure document-upload module, SSO integration with SSO Rajasthan/Jan Aadhaar, and an analytics dashboard for usage and feedback monitoring — built within a Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) framework for future interoperability.

Key Stakeholders & Beneficiaries

Farmers & Agri-entrepreneurs; General Citizens; Department Officials; Extension Workers; DoIT&C (SSO/hosting).
