Since passing years, Rajasthan IT Day has become a brand name for technological innovations, skill development and startup drive. The event has set a benchmark in the field of technology reformation for tech pundits and business connoisseurs. Government of Rajasthan has created this competitive platform so that IT experts can portray their expertise and skills.

The third edition of Rajasthan IT Day is taking place in the growing hub for startups & IT innovators- Jaipur. Envisaged as a four-day event this time,  ‘Rajasthan IT Day 2018’ is being organized by the Department of Information Technology and Communications, Rajasthan.

Various individuals and changemakers from the field of IT and e-Governance will have an opportunity to portray their out-of-the-box products and services and seek support from the Government. There will be intensive panel discussions by reputed speakers across the nation, exhibitions on the latest innovations in the field of IT & e-Governance, along with workshops for tech wizards and emerging startups.

TECRUSH

Technological advancements have always been a top-notch priority for the Government of Rajasthan and aims to accelerate in every initiative it undertakes. It is the only state in India which celebrates IT developments and evolutions, as ‘Rajasthan IT Day’. To promote digitalisation, GoR is organising a run, which will not only see Jaipur’s residents but also speakers and government dignitaries running for a unified cause of making Rajasthan - DigiSthan.

TecRush is a 5KM long marathon that is being organized by Government of Rajasthan which will commemorate the technology acceleration in the state. Green-a-Thon

‘Green-a-Thon’ or the Green Hackathon is one-of-its kind event encouraging young problem solvers & innovative think tanks to create and implement new ideas for a more sustainable future.

To promote the use of cutting-edge technology in building a better tomorrow, Government of Rajasthan is organising ‘Green-a-Thon’ on Rajasthan IT Day 2018. It will be an all night long marathon in which the participants will develop, program and build a prototype for something that will help in making the world a greener place.

The Hackathon will be a series of coding events with a sustainability purpose where students will showcase their solutions to real civic and environmental issues. This challenge is open for all the students across the country where they can freely share their innovative idea with us.

e-Mitra/ITGK Hackathon

Rajasthan is a pioneer state with the largest service delivery network with over 45,000 e-Mitra kiosks (Common Service Centres). These service delivery points are offering more than 350 services across the state. The Government of Rajasthan has stepped in the digital latitude with the introduction of Web Portal and Mobile App to simplify the access to the various services.

These e-Mitra kiosks are giving an entrepreneurial knack to the rural and urban youth by providing employment opportunities. These e-Mitra owners are serving the residents of the state as well as spreading awareness about various services.

Now taking a leap towards encouraging the participation of e-Mitra kiosk owners, the Government of Rajasthan is bringing “e-Mitra Connect” on the Rajasthan IT Day. This 24 hours activity will provide a platform where e-Mitra owners can pitch their innovative ideas about how to enhance and simplify the usage of e-Mitra services using electronic media.

The participants can prepare and develop a module, guide, video tutorials and how these services can be made available to the residents with ease. The categories for submitting and showcasing the ideas will be e-Service Delivery, IEC using Electronic Media and Banking Facility.

EduHack

Recognising the fact that education plays a significant role in the balanced development of the state, Government of Rajasthan has come up with an innovative idea to bring revolution in the education sector. Government of Rajasthan is introducing – EduHack – The Teachers Hackathon as a part of Rajasthan IT Day 2018.

EduHack is a 24 hour Hackathon which aims at giving a unique platform to teachers, professors lecturers and educationists of our state wherein they can create path-breaking solutions to improve our education system.

This Hackathon will provide a collaborative and competitive environment to the participants to implement their out-of- the-box ideas and manufacture extraordinary solutions. The solution can be in the form of new learning software, new teaching method, smart algorithm or anything that will help our education system grow better and smarter.

Government of Rajasthan is committed towards making a competitive and transparent ecosystem for the innovative minds and thinkers across the nation. On the same line, Government of Rajasthan (GoR) is organizing the fourth edition of Hackathon after its huge success in the past.

Hackathon 4.0, a 36 hour non-stop coding marathon is an effective tool used by the state to promote IT & e-governance initiatives. Coders, developers & designers will have a prodigious platform to use their out-of-the-box thinking on Bhamashah, e-Mitra, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, AR/VR, Blockchain, Machine Learning, Data Warehouse and Data Mobility.

The event will witness dignitaries from Government of India, respected officials from Government of Rajasthan, eminent IT leaders and reputed spokespersons from different corners of the world.

Bhamashah Scheme, initiated in 2008 by Smt Vasundhara Raje, was the first Direct Benefit Transfer programme in India. Along with its key objective of DBT, the scheme also focuses on women empowerment and financial inclusion. The Bhamashah Scheme recognizes family as a unit and ‘lady of the house’ as the head of the family. The Bhamashah family card and the bank account are made in the name of the lady of the house and all the family benefits are directly transferred in her account. Rajasthan is the only state in India to empower women by registering the bank account in her name. Today, more than 5.52 crore residents of 1.52 crore+ families have been enrolled under Bhamashah Yojana. Blockchain is a distributed database that maintains information/order/records called blocks. The data is constantly growing, so a ‘completed block’ is linked with a new block with fresh information. Each new set of block contains a timestamp and references and identifies the previous block by a hashing function, forming an unbroken chain. Blockchains are secure by design as they are inherently resistant to modification. Once recorded, the data in a block cannot be altered retroactively.
